# Clients and products

My current client, earlier engagements, and the products I build and run myself.

## Darcy Solutions

Data platformGeothermalNeo4j
I'm principal architect and lead engineer of Darcy's data management platform. It replaces spreadsheets with one system for designing geothermal wells, approving them, and recording what crews actually install.

I took it from an early graph prototype to production in under a year. The back end is FastAPI and Neo4j, the office works in an Angular web app, and field crews get a native iPad app that works offline.

Each well is a versioned graph, so every design revision and every as-built record is kept. The form a crew fills out in the field is built from that well's design, so they see only what applies to it.

AI agents write most of the code under the process I designed: a written spec for every feature, specialist agents building in parallel, reviewer agents that can't edit code, and nothing merged without evidence I can check.

## Marist University

Intranet portalHigher education
I designed Marist's custom intranet portal as a Marist engineer, then kept working on it through Valley Technologies Group from 2017 to 2025. The university also hosted the portal for other colleges, including Sweet Briar College.

Through VTG I built custom apps on the portal and connected it to the university's ERP and learning management system.

## Brown University

AdvisoryHigher education
Brown's Computing & Information Services was laying the groundwork for a custom intranet portal. I advised the team as it planned the portal and coached its developers on Liferay.

## Earlier engagements

- **Anderson Center for Autism, 2017.** On-site training on their portal platform.
- **Accuware, 2016.** Sensor hardware, firmware, and an Android app for an indoor-positioning proof of concept.
- **Humangrid, 2015.** An online assessment platform, with a Java testing service and a portal where organizations bought tests and licensed them to test-takers.
- **A commercial real estate firm, 2010.** An Android app with a Grails and MySQL back end for tracking snowplows and utility vehicles across properties.
- **IBM Global Services, 2003 to 2005.** IT support for a national pharmaceutical company.

## Building something in a hard domain?

I'm happy to talk it through.
